Boston, MA — January 26th, 2026 — Second Harvest, a premium retreat experience for executives and leaders in transition, announced its 2026 European retreat schedule with immersive gatherings in Girona, Spain and Friesach, Austria. A third retreat will be hosted in Jamestown, Rhode Island in early summer.

After the success of last year’s retreats, requests for more events have been answered. Designed specifically for executives, founders, senior leaders, and high-performing professionals in midlife, Second Harvest retreats offer a decidedly human experience to step back from daily demands and gain clarity about what comes next — professionally, personally, and creatively.

The Girona, Spain retreat (April 20–24, 2026) brings together a small cohort for five days of guided conversation, reflection, movement, and shared experience in one of Europe’s most historically rich regions. Later in the summer, the Austria retreat (July 2026) unfolds in the alpine landscape of Friesach, offering a slower, nature-anchored setting for deep perspective and renewal.

Second Harvest is co-founded by Devon McDonald, a General Partner at one of Boston’s leading venture capital firms, with decades of experience working alongside founders and executives navigating inflection points, and Richard Banfield, CEO, best-selling leadership author, and long-time advisor to executive teams across technology, design, and growth-stage organizations.

“These retreats exist because high-achieving people need uninterrupted time, and meaningful conversation to recalibrate their direction. They don't need more motivation or productivity hacks. They want clarity,” said Banfield. “That’s the purposeful container we've built.”

Unlike traditional wellness retreats or leadership offsites, Second Harvest is intentionally analog, small by design, and peer-driven. There are no gurus, no performance expectations, and no prescribed outcomes — only space for thoughtful reflection and meaningful connection among people facing similar transitions.

Attendance is limited and all participants must apply. Applications and full details are available at secondharvest.co/events.
